Health, Safety & Wellbeing

Initiative name: We’re Safer Together – Zero Harm

Number of staff: 640

SES Engineering Services goal is to achieve a culture where people are engaged, empowered and look out for one another by promoting and championing the right behaviours. Since its launch in 2016, the ‘We’re Safer Together’ programme is challenging employees, supply chain and clients to embrace a try ‘Zero Harm’ ethos by 2020.

To ensure the health and safety message is passed onto principle contractors as well as subcontractors, annual safety seminars are held, where lessons learnt are discussed, any issues highlighted, and new strategic initiatives are brainstormed. This gives SES the platform to praise positive behaviours that encourage the inclusion of everyone to the ‘We’re Safer Together – Zero Harm’ programme. Leading by example, all members of the SES Leadership Team have made their own personal commitment to assist in the delivery of the campaign.

SES have been able to drive continual improvement across the organisation and can point to the attitude and awareness of their site employees and the efforts made by all parties, working together to improve safety.

The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony and gala dinner on the 28th of June at the Royal Lancaster, London. For more information or to book a table click here.
