Integration and Collaborative Working
Type of client: Local Authority
Construction product: School
Project value: £26.8m
Dawnus delivered their first project to Wokingham Borough Council in 2011 and they have since developed strong relationships to successfully deliver further projects including the South Wokingham Secondary School. The key success of this was that they completed it within budget, to a high standard and within a tight timeframe.
Collaboration at all levels was crucial in achieving this, particularly between Dawnus and the supply chain to overcome the challenges during the development and to maintain the programme. Dawnus collaborative approach to delivering an Employment and Skills Plan (ESP) benefited the project by maintaining relationships with Wokingham Borough Council and building ones with local stakeholders, including local schools and colleges, apprenticeship schemes, employment services and employment agency to exceed targets.
A project review was held upon completion to identify lessons learned and successes; Wokingham Borough Council awarded Dawnus a score of 10/10 for each KPI measured on the project, the findings of the review to be communicated to drive continuous improvement and further development.
The winner of the Integration and Collaboration award will be announced at the awards ceremony and gala dinner on the 28th of June at the Royal Lancaster London. For more information about the event and to book your tickets, click here.
